Today, Ward 8 communities are faced with closing schools and recreation centres, and even fewer amenities. Meanwhile, the businesses and people that drive our economy are being pulled to other cities.

City Council cannot magically turn back the clock to better days.

We must look to the future with bold new ideas:

  • Make Calgary a magnet for the brightest minds and new investment with a vibrant downtown, thriving arts and culture, and strong support for entrepreneurship.

  • Reinvest in our neighbourhoods by keeping more of our tax dollars in Ward 8 to support safe, sustainable, and amenity-rich communities.

  • Break down barriers to build a city where everyone is empowered to contribute, live a meaningful life and be part of our next success story.
